Currently we are not meeting regularly but please feel free to e-mail or join the Facebook group (links to the right).

Summer Meetups

Over the summer we'll continue to meetup regularly. We are changing to meeting on Sunday's during the day to help those of us with kids to be able to attend and not have to find babysitters. We hope to be enjoying the good weather of the summer and spending our time in backyards, parks, and maybe even going to the beach. E-mail to the address in the blog description (above) or join the Facebook group to find out time's & locations.

I know that for some people you would like to join but are not ready to publicly show your face or have a hard time just coming to a meeting. Please still e-mail me and I'd love to discuss things with you. It could be your lack of belief in the church, your changing faith, or problems you have with your doubts and fitting into the culture of Taber. It could be anything else too! But don't be afraid to e-mail. I will keep anything you say confidential. This includes not saying anything to anyone else in the group.

Winter meetings

For the remainder of the winter we'll continue to meet on the last Saturday of the month at Boston Pizza at 8pm. I'll post the topic at least a week ahead of time. Don't worry that you have to come ready to discuss. The main point is to get to know new people.

Regular Monthly Meetups

For the fall we'll meet on the last Saturday of the month 8pm at Boston Pizza. For each meeting we'll have a topic in advance that we'll discuss.

September 27th - The Role of Religion in Society. A great time to get to know each other and have some stimulating conversation. I'll come prepared with things to get the conversation going. We'll order some food & drinks once everyone shows up.

October 25th - The Basis of Morality. If you don't believe in God can you come up with morals? How would you go about it? Come on out and discuss! We'll use this as the basis for the evening but we may go off on other things. And don't worry, we won't talk philosophy all night. Its a great time to socialize and get to know new people.

November 29th - Bring your questions night. Come with something you want to discuss or just join in the conversation. Its a great way to meet new people. We'll be in the restaurant side and I'll have a sign on the table.

December meeting will be cancelled 

CornFest

We'll be trying to meet each other at Cornfest. E-mail taber.freethinkers@gmail.com to get on the list or join the facebook group to keep up with what we are doing. I'll also try to post in the comments of this post from my phone.

Regular Meetings

We regularly meet on the first Sunday of the month at 2pm and the third Saturday of the month at 7pm. Normally we meet at the Tim Hortons.

June Meetups

Oops. Forgot to post that on the first Sunday we went to meeting of the Lethbridge Freethinkers.

If you want to head out they meet every Sunday at 2pm at Good Earth Cafe. Don't show up until 2:30pm though. Everyone is late. People come and go with the first ones leaving around 4pm and some staying right until closing at 6pm.

For the 3rd Saturday we'll meet at Tim Hortons at 7pm.

May Meetups

Sunday May 4th at 2pm. Tim Hortons. If the weather is nice we may get our stuff to go and enjoy some outside time at a local park.

Saturday May 17th at 7pm. BBQ if there is enough interest. Tim Hortons as an alternate.

Our meetings are casual and the conversation just goes to whatever topics are of interest. The main purpose is just to meet new people and have fun. Hope to see you out!
